Study Abroad

Why Study Abroad?

Studying abroad is an excellent way to gain professional skills and experiences that your future employer values.  It also provides the opportunity to develop increased independence, self-confidence, language skills, and the ability to adapt to new cultures or situations.

Students who study abroad (compared to those that do not) are twice as likely to be employed within six months of graduation!

Studying abroad can cost the same price (or less!) as taking classes at WWU. A Study Abroad Advisor can help you explore scholarships, financial aid, and talk about your options.

When you return from studying abroad, be sure to connect with the Career Services Center. We’re here to support you in reflecting on the skills and experience you’ve gained—and how to communicate them in your job search process!
